Embedded systems for the Internet of Things (IoT)

Data is a major driver for Industrie 4.0 and therefore the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) plays an important role. Embedded systems form the core of IoT sensors that collect data from various sources. The sensors process the raw data into meaningful information and send it to the application for data analysis using communication modules. As industrial manufacturing encompasses a wider range of measurable physical quantities and requirements, it is necessary to develop a suitable IoT sensor system. This ranges from the development of hardware such as sensors, microcontrollers and communication media to the software for these embedded IoT sensors.

About the Seminar

In this seminar, we provide a brief introduction to the components of an embedded system for IoT sensors, focusing on microcontrollers and communication media. We will also provide you with a methodology for selecting the right components for building the IoT sensor system.
