5G PRISM - Transparency in 5G networks

In automated industrial environments, reliable wireless connectivity is crucial. However, hidden signal shadowing and interference jeopardize production and can lead to costly downtime. 5G PRISM eliminates these blind spots by replacing theoretical models with real-world measurement data. 5G PRISM is based on many decentralized sensor units that are deployed directly at network nodes and collect measurement data from the perspective of the end devices.

How does the "5G PRISM" diagnostic system work?

The measurement principle of PRISM is based on a hybrid data analysis that systematically correlates the physical signal quality of the radio layer with the actual performance at the application level. Integrated radio modules continuously record detailed telemetry data such as signal strength (RSRP) and signal quality (SINR). At the same time, the system performs coordinated stress tests to check how the network reacts under high load.

All data is evaluated centrally and displayed in a dashboard. This allows problems or deterioration in network health to be identified at an early stage. The system can also transfer the results to maps or hall plans to see exactly where weak points or faults occur in the network.

In short: 5G PRISM makes visible how reliable a wireless network really is in practice and helps to identify and rectify problems at an early stage.

The overview page shows all installed devices.

All integrated devices and their positions in the hall are listed on the start page. The available functions can be called up via a navigation bar. Active sensors can be shown and hidden via a list on the right-hand side. Possible failures can be seen at a glance.

Overview of the results of the campaign tests

All installed sensors are tested in various scenarios in the network stress test. Specific areas of the network can be simulated under load in order to identify optimization potential.

The "Campaign Tests" can be used to coordinate regular stress tests as well as their objectives and parameters.

The "Results Explorer" documents the utilization curve of the devices in real time. All data can be exported for further analysis.

Example measurement of the RSRP distribution

A heat map of the hall visualizes how strongly the reference signal is received at different locations. This makes it easy to identify areas with weak signals and derive targeted measures. If required, we are happy to support you in planning the measures.

Various options are available in the right-hand column to adapt the map display to specific issues.
