Aachen Polymer Optics Days 2022

The production of optical components is subject to high accuracy requirements. In-depth knowledge of materials and processes is necessary to make production precise and efficient. This concerns not only the actual molding process, but also the upstream and downstream steps in the entire process chain. The Aachen Polymer Optics Days conference addresses all relevant issues in optical plastics manufacturing - from material selection and replication to metrological characterization and the optical system. This year's conference will focus on the following topics:

  • New and conventional materials
  • Tool and mold making
  • Replication technologies
  • Metrology/Quality/Digitization
  • Optical Systems

The Aachen Polymer Optics Days 2022 offer an excellent networking platform for participants from industry and research interested in a lively exchange on the manufacturing possibilities and application potentials of optical plastic products. Current developments and trends will be highlighted from a manufacturing and application perspective in expert presentations. Take advantage of the conference as a renowned industry meeting place for exchanging ideas with expert colleagues! In addition to the lecture program, there will be a company exhibition accompanying the conference as well as a test bench tour at the participating research institutes. On the evening of the first day of the event, there will also be an industrial pitch session moderated by the photonics consortium EPIC.

Besides the technical presentations participants can take part in a tour through the laboratory and test bench facilities at IKV, Fraunhofer IPT and ILT. Moreover, the conference provides for broad networking possibilities through coffee breaks in the industry exhibition area and a dinner event on the first conference day.

The event is kindly supported by 3D AG, Innolite GmbH, NanoFilm Technologies international limited, Photonics Hub GmbH, Schneider GmbH & Co KG, Temicon GmbH und Viaoptic GmbH.
