Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPTDr.-Ing. Dipl.-Wirt. Ing. Henning Janssen
Henning Janssen, born in 1985, studied mechanical engineering and economics at RWTH Aachen University and Imperial College London, England. He graduated in mechanical engineering with a specialization in design and development in 2011 and completed his additional studies in economics at RWTH Aachen University in 2012. From September 2011, he worked as a research assistant at the Fraunhofer IPT in the area of "Production Machines" and took over the management of the group "Fiber-reinforced plastics" in 2013. Since April 2016, he has headed the "Fiber-reinforced plastics and Laser Systems Technology" department in the division "Production machines". In 2020, he received his Phd in engineering on the topic of "Additive process chain for the production of thermoplastic fiber composite hybrid components".
Since 2018, in parallel to his work at the Fraunhofer IPT, he has been responsible for the RWTH Aachen Campus Center Fuel Cell Industrialization as managing director and co-founder.
