Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPTThe immediate exchange of research results is imperative for the promotion of innovations. Open Access establishes cost- and barrier-free as well as long-term access to scientific results and scientific literature. The Fraunhofer IPT therefore prefers publication media that create this access.
A distinction is made between two variants:
- Open Access Gold: First publication in peer-reviewed open access journals with immediate access.
- Open Access Green: Parallel publication or with a time delay in a repository after the initial publication without open access.
