At LASER World of Photonics in Munich, Germany, from April 26-29, 2022, we will show how optical coherence tomography (OCT) can be used to achieve optimum process stability and control in laser materials processing.

With the help of the laser processing system, measuring positions can be actively changed during a process and measuring strategies can be diversified without affecting the actual machining process.

Both machine manufacturers and end users in the field of laser material processing benefit in particular from the different types of process data, since the process data offer increased flexibility of application possibilities such as laser microstructuring, laser transmission welding or laser additive manufacturing

The Fraunhofer IPT will present a first prototype of the OCT-based laser processing system at booth 441 in hall A6.

LASER World of Photonics is the world's leading platform for the laser and photonics industry. As a cross-sectional technology, the economically relevant fields of materials processing, measuring and testing, imaging and lasers in medicine are addressed. The mixture of users, beam source manufacturers and system providers is what makes the event so special.
