With our expertise in sheet metal working, we optimize our clients’ production processes and react to the increasing demands on materials, processes and tool technology. Process limits and product quality can be improved by local heating of sheet metals directly before critical mechanical operations in a progressive die tool. This enables us to process high-strength sheet metals as well as to achieve high degrees of deformation, high clear cut ratio and localized hardening.
In shear cutting and forming processes, we use lasers as a highly flexible heating tool. This allows for local heating of the sheet metal to perform cuts with complex geometries or to process collar forming in complex stamped and bent components. We present alternative heating technologies, such as induction or electrical resistance heating and demonstrator parts from current research projects.
