Lightweight production technologies for aviation and aerospace

Did you know ...

... that each additional kilogram of weight in an Airbus A380 leads to an increased annual consumption of kerosene of 200 liters?

The structure of the A380 therefore consists of approximately 20 percent fiber-reinforced materials, because these combine low weight with high stability. In the Boeing Dreamliner and the Airbus A350 this proportion is even greater than 50 per cent. The solid fuel boosters of the new European Vega rocket are also wound from fiber-reinforced materials and contribute through the saving of weight to the extraordinarily high thrust of the rocket.

We support aviation and aerospace companies with qualified production technologies for safety-relevant, highly stressed components. The key to a sustainable lowering of production costs lies in the automation technology, which we optimize together with our customers.
